Balance | 2015 | Metal | 35 x 12 x 12 cm | Unique Piece
Balance is a manifestation of internal reckoning rendered through sculptural form. Müge Kesim employs discarded industrial remnants rusted gears, immobile cogs, and a tensioned wire not merely as materials, but as metaphors for existential tension. The work navigates the precarious architecture of equilibrium, transforming decay into contemplation.
What first appears familiar a wheel, a line, a base unfolds into a meditation on fragility. The rust speaks of time, the wire of tension, and the gear of halted progress. Together, they construct a silent choreography of endurance, echoing the delicate balance we attempt to maintain between self and world, intention and surrender.
This sculpture does not offer serenity, but rather an awareness of how elusive and effortful balance truly is. Balance is not the absence of instability it is the ongoing negotiation with it. It is a quiet resistance against collapse, a poetic stand within the disorder.
